Want to visit us during the summertime?

The Women's History Archives at the National and University Library is in a slow mode during the summer months but you can visit our exhibition Print, manuscripts, and private archives on the 1st floor of the library.

"Print, manuscripts, and private archives. A selection from the holdings of the National and University Library of Iceland.” The exhibition focuses on the history of print in Iceland, its manuscript tradition and personal documents as reflected in the holdings of the Manuscript Collection, Special Collection, Women's History Archives and the Icelandic National Collection within the National and University Library of Iceland. Open to all during the opening hours of library, so 9 to 5 every weekday in June, July, and August.

You can try your luck to get a quick tour on the exhibition and an introduction to 20th century women's history in Iceland by contacting us, and with luck we'll be just on our way on summer leave or recently arrived back to the offices.

We wish you the best of times on your summer holiday!
